Cake Decorating With Fondant: Rolling Out Fondant.

If you are planing to decorate fondant cakes, you might consider investing into some basic tools such as fondant mat and rolling pins. We recommend silicon mats and rolling pins. To roll out your fondant use confectioners sugar sprinkling it over the mat and the fondant to prevent fondant from sticking to your mat or your rolling pin. If rolling out fondant to cover a cake you need to consider in the height of the cake. For example of you need to cover a round cake that is 10 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall, you need to roll out a round piece of fondant that is 16 inches in diameter or more.
